#Roll a D3, on a 2+...

2+ being 3-4-5-6 then or 2+ because it mentionned D3.
Or being a D6 on a 2+ means you can fail on a 1 but 2 would still be a 1 on a D3 and having still 3-4-5-6 ?

Asking as the second variant gives more gameplay, but its a rare case where I'm not certain about some phrasing.
Thanks for your input!

Treat it as if you’re rolling an actual D3. 1-2=1, so it fails. 3-4=2, 5-6=3

If you roll a D3, it's a D3. If you happen to only have a D6 on hand it changes nothing, meaning yes, it is a 2+ on a D3

This is why I hate the ‘on a D3’ rule it’s completely arbitrary and unnecessarily confusing

Huh?

# random stag It's not?

Imo, it’s quite confusing, the fact that the people above my message had two different opinions on how the roll works, it’s an unnecessary addition when rolling a D6 is both the standard and easily understood

We didn’t say two different things. We said the same thing two different ways

I realised that after I started yapping yeah, though I still think for newer players the rule is inherently confusing, my friends who’ve been getting into AoS spearhead have found those rules the most difficult to understand out of anything

Yeah I mean… wargames are kind of inherently complicated and have a lot of core knowledge and expectations built up over time, so starting out will always have surprising points of friction

#

I don’t think it’s worth building rulesets entirely around avoiding that friction
