#Excited to start my seraphon, but at the same time I'm worried I may want something else

Could you post all the lists you got? If that's alright?
I was mainly looking to do sunclaw/thunderquake stuff
And its good to hear slann are important, because I love their models
These are in rank order but they're all 4-1 so the rank is just how well they scored

Interesting! I thought skinks were really bad!
That's probably the weirdest lists. Skinks are just kinda mediocre and there's not really any reason to take them when the Hunters are right there for the same cost
Fair enough!
They are, but they're cheap enough to score points
I would temperate a bit expectation, seraphon is pretty much a one-trick army currently. We're looking at 1, 2 game 0lan overall.
Either use the new kroak and send a lot of mortal wound into the opponent while holding primaries.
Or just throw down the board big damaging units.
And that's pretty much all there is.
Krox are the main hammer unit, aggradon do less damage but with greater mobility, and raptadon do good damage for the point, and with good mobility for the cost of survivability.
Slann is only used to cast endless spells and resurrect unit.
And then you have hunter which are your tech piece, reducing charge rolls and deploying anywhere on the board.
To be totally fair, the army would allow for way more game styles and propose loads of warscroll. Unfortunately, they're currently mostly underwhelming, and the faction gameplay is pretty monoloythic
Man, I thought seraphon has a lot to offer
Instead of just being a very one trick army
Maybe I should consider playing something else
Competitivly, it's pretty tame, but there's room for different game plans. Currently, I would wait tho, it's pretty limited imo.
The good thing is, you still have unit variety, but yeah
To be fair, I would still suggesting starting the game with the facton you like the most, rules are temporary, not models
I understand that, but I'd rather play a faction I find fun and interesting
As much as I like dinosaurs, I don't think I'd wanna just have 5 temple guard, and raptadon chargers are the only things I can use
I would tell you what I like visually, but it's a but hard for me to describe, though I could show you
Krox and aggradons are most played as well but it's understandable, you can still look at what other factions can offer!
That's the thing though, I'm not really too sure what I'm really looking for besides cool monsters
If aesthetic didn't sold you enough on Seraphon because of the gameplay, maybe look at faction you'd enjoy playing
I kinda thought seraphon was the "cool big monster" faction. Besides that I can really only think of the skaven or maggotkin as the only other factions I'd wanna play
I'm coming from 40k, and im a fan of the nids in there, so whatever is similar to them I suppose?
