I would have a couples of questions:

  • why the grimoire on the warforger
  • why bring a unit of 10 fusilier ? They are pretty underwhelming, especially without any buffs
  • why the additional steelhelms and wilder Corp?

oh yeah sure: 1. the grimore is against the heavy caster meta. 2. in my experience the 10 fussilier are very good to clean up after the 20 blob same for the wilder corp. 3. the wilder corp is for the mobility and the steelhelms are just solid

With a single deny, you think you'll get a lot of value out of that grimoire? imo, it's a good tool if you know you have access to enough deny to capitalize on low casting roll, but with just a single deny, two with Heroic Action, the opponent will most probably be able to power through the -D3 I'd say.

Alright I can see that, tho with so much side units (namely, the 10 fisiliers, the 10 added steel and the wildercorp) I'm wondering what is supposed to punch in that army, bare the fusiliers. And without the MW, the fusilier really struggle to do any meaningful damage into good save, especially with stacking, and since you've got a single deny, it's easy to see the target getting AoD + shield consistently

i mean thats the great question in cities. i would say that just the voloumes of shot and a possibly charge/counter charge with thalia and the cavalry ist a great punch on its own. and the cannon peformed really well on my last few games. i can see your concearnce regarding the relic tho. what would u suggest then ?

to be fair, it's hard to find a hammer in cities, tho I like to have a marshal on poney with my cavalier to give them Fight First

Additionnaly, I think the two most intersting "piece" in human CoS are either the cavalier or the Steam Tank, if possible accompanied with a Pha caster. So I wouldn't know what to really change bare losing both units for a single 5man cavalier.

And for the relic, the thing is that with the Hero setup you have, none of the other option are really intersting, you might be right in picking the Grimoire, might be the best option here, maybe a tome on the Marshal on foot for a shield somewhere, or an additionnal deny.
