There was a beginner battle plan in white dwarf a couple months back. It was streamlined and looked great for beginners. I'll try to take a picture tonight.

If you're looking to use battle plans from the current season, Power Flux is pretty straight forward and pretty fun

It's pretty straight forward and let's a simple choice make a big impact
