Pretty consistent 40K tournament player here, and now working on mono khorne demons for my next 40K venture.

But I would like to have the army be portable over to AoS because I have no idea where my old unplayed stormcast army is and a lot of my playgroup are dabbling in AoS now.

The question I’m asking is, I have already bought a khorne demon patrol and a thirster, and I want more Bloodcrushers, but I don’t need more bloodletters or hounds for 40K.

Is more than 20 bloodletters/10 hounds useful in AoS? Do I get more combat patrols or am I better waiting for standalone bloodcrusher boxes to be restocked (I’m in Oz so that could be this year or next 😂)

more than 20 letters is definitely useful in aos

kinda required if you're not spamming thirsters

most daemon lists will use 2 20mans of letters

hounds are useful but i'm not sure if you'd need more than 10

they're cheap and fast making them nice screens/objective grabbers

and they're solid summons

Ok so I was probably going the bloodletter style blood lords list anyway so 2 combat patrols sound good.

Now I’m not familiar with how AoS plays at all. For summoning is it like old 40K summoning where you have to have points set aside for anything you want to summon in later? Or are they essentially ‘free’ units? So would having extras be helpful? I could buy a 3rd combat patrol and sell off 20 out of the 30 Fleshhounds.

What about bloodcrushers and bloodmasters?

blood crushers are alright, kinda overshadowed by skullcrushers

bloodmasters are a staple if you're going daemon only

so for khorne they have a blood tithe system and gain points when units die

#

also when they ignore spells

#

they can use blood tithe to either gain buffs or summon units

i would only bother with 2 combat patrols tbh

and i'd keep all the hounds

just because some games having the extras to summon comes in handy

also the bloodthirster with lash of khorne is a staple in khorne lists

most people are fine with you running the other weapons as a proxy though

In aos there isn't taking heroes in squads

I think a khorne lists wants 4 priests of some sort

So you can make the thirster a priest, have 2 masters and then a blood throne

#

Or you could do 3 masters and drop the throne

#

Either way I like having a spare bloodmaster
