Hi there ! I’m picking up my new army box this week and was wondering on some guidelines in what to follow it up with to build it into an excelsis army focused around the Calvary, obviously.
Is that going to be any decent? I was also considering Misthavn for a Calvary focused list too!!

Excelsis is incredibly underwhelming. However misthavn is probably one of the most powerful cities subfactions and has the most practical applications

Misthavn is definitely the choice to go for if you're mostly looking to be using cavalry. It keeps your army super mobile and is great for a turn 1 charge with a marshal
execlsis would be more appropriate with Tahlia's manticore and the marshals and battlemages griffons

Seconded. I played a game with this two days ago. Battlemage for wild form for a 3d6 charge. Amazing for turn one alpha on a 15 Man Unit of horses

Running the pontifex just because I want to, favorite model in the new line
could probably replace it with a mage or another fusiliers but she’s so cool!!

I would honestly say split the cavaliers into groups of 3
they hit like a truck in groups of 5 so 15 seems like drastic overkill
though the idea of a giant squad of cavalry charging is cool, maybe max it out to 10?
this also gives you good ways of objective control while utilising the Misthavn ability
you could even drop the cannon and then that will allow you to have 2 units of 10 cavaliers
