new to AOS, looking to make a Skaven army yes yes

Hello! So I've decided I finally want to take a plunge into the world of AOS and I want to build an army of my favorite rat men the Skaven yes yes! I was wondering what are the best ways to start building a Skaven army and how much I should be looking to spend to make said army!

First of all you should think of which clan you think is the coolest

you can build the clans together but generally speaking you'll only use 1-2 clans for the majority of your list

Eshin are fast and do lots of mortal wounds
Skryre is high firepower and magic
Verminus is a horde of clanrat meatshield
Pestilens is fanatical plague rats with priests
Moulder is lab created monsters

Once picked, look for some leaders within these clans to lead your army. Like Pestilens can use a plague priest, or Eshin can use a deathmaster. Then you grab models you like to be your battleline, such as clanrats, nightrunners, plague monks and stormfiends

If you are unsure about yolo-ing a list, a good start is of course the Skaven: Vanguard box set which gives you very good models that you'll use in most lists

Here's a list for a 1,000 point game made up from the Vanguard set, pack of Warlock engineers and a Ratling gun. All for £117

I was thinking of picking up the The Verminous Host and Thanquol and Boneripper and a Hellpit Abomination

that would let you play a 1500 point game
