#starting units for Seraphon (Koatl's claw)?

Hi all! Just looking into getting into the game and have recently bought the start collecting Seraphon box and have 10 extra warriors to a total of 20. I also have ordered a box of Saurus guards.

I was wondering what I should consider prioritizing next? I know Slaan's are apparently good, but for the same price I could get a Saurus sunblood and skink starseer, which I admittedly prefer the appearance of.

I was wondering if you all could suggest what units would be the most practical for me to collect at this stage?

I'm gonna be honest

as far as I'm aware

koatl's klaw the saurus in general are probably the weakest big of seraphon atm

#

but you'll def still want a slann

#

and a couple of carno scar vets if ur going down that list path

#

and some knights

#

really 2 of the saurus SC kit is good place

and a toad

if you're keen on Koatl's claw ( the weakest subfaction as Drath mentioned) Then go all in on Saurus + Slann, and engine of the gods. A Skink starpriest and an astrolith would also work well with saurus

Lol, fair enough. I don't mind not being the most competitive, I'll probably only be playing casually. A simple melee beat stick army is kinda what I'd like to play, which is why I was thinking Koatl's Claw, but I've definitely heard it's not the best

Are skink starseers any good for this sort of sub faction? 😁

And I'll look into Thunder lizards, but I just liked the idea of Koatl, being a more traditional martial army

unfortunately the things that are good for Skinks rarely overlap with the Saurus

#

Saurus Knights are cheap and efficient though

#

They spit out a bunch of low-quality attacks, which means they take buffs well

you will want multiple Carnosaurs if you're going for Koatl's Claw IMO

if you're running lots of Saurus, you can use Skink Starpriests and Skink Starseer's. Neither have abilties locked to skinks. The Skink priest however is locked to the skink keyword

so in a saurus heavy list, they would be one of the first things i'd look to cut

Seraphon almost need a table outlining what's a priest, what' s a wizard and which heroes can buff Saurus, Skinks or both haha
