I'm finally taking the plunge and checking out AoS. Magic frogs riding dinosaurs has always appealed to me, so I think Seraphon is where I'll start. Are the Start Collecting boxes worth getting? And is the Skinks box permanently out of stock, or is it just temporary as said on the website?

the Saurus one is slightly less useful because the larger Carnosaur Dinosaur isn't great at the moment. but the Saurus warriors and Saurus Knights are both useful units

#

I'll likely not use the flying dino's from the Skink box either, but they are neat models none the less. Perhaps next battletome the carnosaurs and flying dino's will be better

#

the Skink box is likely just temporarily out of stock also

Awesome, thanks

I'm honestly not too concerned with chasing the meta, I figure that in the span of 6 months something can go from bottom tier to present in most lists, so I'm just gonna models that I like and will make a valid army

for sure. Seraphon are likely to be getting a new Tome next year. Who knows what will change? Also the next warcry box has some seraphon Chameleons in it. They might be worth keeping an eye on

just the cycle of life in Age of Sigmar. Not everything is good for ever. GW like to phase units in and out of meta favour to shake up list every now and then

Yeah, makes sense

One thing that does make me slightly wary is the possibility of buying a bunch of models then having a range refresh. Do you think that's likely within the next year or so?

i'm really not sure i'll be honest

#

there is a big refresh happening for Cities of Sigmar already

#

I dare say not? There will be atleast 1 new model coming, because we have seen 2 preview images of bits of something seraphon

#

the model range is quite old and could use an update. At the very least it would be great if they made plastic versions of the resin mini's
