I love the map concept, but the idea should be on its own map with its own unique layout. 2 Hydros is already pushing it, we don't need a 3rd
4 team hydro already has a player density problem I don't think it needs to be exacerbated by doubling the number of control points
hydro is hated to much.
well, I just want a good 8point 4team dom map,its the best (and only) 4team dom map, and half the work is already done
same
I don't think we need another variant of hydro
I can't think of balanced places to put the extra points
thats why hammer allows you to make new places.
and that playtesting and public playtesting exists
At that point, I'd rather just make a whole new mapactually designed for it.
Straight up, that's easier than figuring out whatever areaportal and displacement fuckery happens when trying to recomp a decomp
If there was to be another Hydro variant I think I'd rather have like, one of the points isolated into a Koth map or something
Hell maybe even a multi-stage Koth, where it's two or three maps you rotate between whenever a team wins the round
Multi stage koth, now that sounds nice
I'm mainly suggesting this because
A: TF2C lost two koth maps upon the steam release so we're due for more maps
B: A friend recently got me to try Overwatch and its version of Koth uses multiple stages instead of just one map (and I think it'd work fine enough in TF2)
Like the idea. I have to ask, do these GRN and YLW TC icons exist in-game somewhere or did you make them?
I made them
I think you did a good job. They're fitting, visually appealing, distinct. I like 'em.
Yeah, I think these should be released separately for mappers.
At first I liked what I did with the radio tower, but I grow to hate my creation.
Damn, I know how that feels.
I agree, make a unique map for this
When you say stages you mean like how many PL maps have stages where it’s effectively a map change but without the actual map change? Or do you mean the location of the point changes in the map after it’s capped for a set amount of time, as the latter would be an interesting gamemode over a gimmick map.
Oh I meant PL style
