It was a hype idea
Someone in the office said “wouldn’t it be funny if he like saw the world like a little girl” and then everyone thought that was really funny and the idea snowballed from there
Not joking, this is literally how it was created
It was basically like the brick from TF2C where everyone just thought it was funny but instead it was a character defining (and ruining) joke
