What does spy need that for?
You can literally go invisible to scout ahead
to bully a player specifically (maybe even track a pyro so you can avoid them)
To track players easier. Maybe you shot someone defending something and you wanna see where they check or run off to.
i see the vision, 30 seconds is a long ass time tho
hidden stat: increases spy paranoia on the target

For me, it's cool, but make the weapon a weapon on par with the tranq gun
and reduce the effect duration

Sure, if it was a projectile-based weapon similar to the tranq gun, I'm onboard with that, sounds cool af
I’ve seen the “tracking players” gimmick brought up a lot and it sounds like it could be a fun idea, but putting it on a ranged weapon just would not work IMO
I kinda feel this gimmick would weirdly work well with spy. Spy already tracks people, but this would give an extra edge to that. Keep in mind though only the spy can see it.
Unlike the tranque this can sorta still deal good enough damage.
Increases paranoia by letting players know they are watched

there's times where the enemy just spreads well enough or yiu don't have enough space to scuttle through
i can see this weapon have a use
but not much offensively
Ok you now know the location of 1 person that you shot so he now knows that there is a spy around
I mean if you made this as accurate as the revolver, you can tag people from a fair distance
but by the time you get over to where that'd be helpful to your stealth, the effect is half worn off
this would be a powerful tool when combined with some team communication but you'd need comp levels of coordination for it to be useful, so let's say it's mostly just a tool for the spy. Even then this has quite a few interesting use cases, you could mark the pyro to avoid him, the engineer to know when he's away from his nest, the combo to know where they're pushing etc.
However, all of this has to be done from afar and probably from the safety of your team. Otherwise, spy undisguises, alerts everyone and dies achieving nothing. It certainly changes your average spy life but mostly just slows down the process if you wanna use it
Make it do no damage but have infinite accuracy I dare you, then spy's gameplay becomes sniper with extra steps
imo, make the debuff visible to your teammates and massively reduce that duration, maybe making it cure if you die a la harvester
the core idea is good, spy should be able to spy on people
just waaay overtuned and weirdly selfish

since thats the "support" revolver
true. If it were something to replace the sapper that'd be interesting but you need the sapper to make it useful since I'd say marking engineer is probably the primary use case
actually had a sapper idea that did just that
im assuming the outlines would only be visible to you, but having 4 of them on ur screen + the objectives would become obnoxious
as the idea is suggested yes its only the spy, i think they were referring to my suggestion for the suggesion
Skel was suggesting visible to your whole team, if it's just to you I mind it less because
well, you're causing it
it's like if all classes got medic auto call
(which they did due to a bug for a while lmfao)
I think the main issue is its hard to sell seeing someone's outline when you could just kill them
the only usecase for this i can see is sniping someone a mile away and trying to get a trickstab later
that's why long range is important in this gun's stats
you can shoot at players you wish to avoid/follow BEFORE you cloak and go in
btw the faster firerate raises some eyebrows for me

Despite the firerate and greater clip size it does less damage then stock whole clip wise.
It can pump out damage but not as effective as stock nor is it useless though for offense either.
yeah but making it shoot very fast just allow spy to tag so many people at once, making it overwhelming for your allies
