#Lost things from pre-Steam TF2C

Some things that I've noticed that are absent or broken from the old TF2C that really need to come back:

  1. Jump pads being broken by func_nobuild. If an Engy is standing inside a nobuild brush, he won't be able to build a jump pad, regardless of what keyvalues are set. Pls fix

  2. Item_teamflag no longer has the ability to restrict itself to a particular class, ie Civilian only. Some VIP maps need this to function correctly

  3. Not an issue with pre-Steam but still please consider: having some kind of icon or indicator that a trigger_catapult exists. In live TF2 these are just denoted by the yellow arrow sign, but there is apparently zero crossover communication with TF2C players. I added some catapults and arrows in my maps, and TF2C playtesters had no idea what I was talking about when explaining their existence

Oh, and also the new fgd for hammer++ is missing a lot of stuff. Its real annoying having to load an old pre-Steam map to copypasta assets that no longer show up in the model/material browsers

It gets worse. team_control_point no longer recognizes setting Green or Yellow as default owners.

i wanna add onto this with the fact that pre-Steam had this thing for Medi Guns could have different sounds, i specially want the ones of Half-Life 2(tho i can understand if they cannot be added officially)

Anyways, so this is a minor audiovisual thing, but I remember when a Soldier get headshot'd, sometimes his helmet would fall off and there was a distinct sound of the bullet hitting his helmet. This seems to be lost during the transition, as I played plenty of matches in the Steam version as Soldier and I don't recall his helmet falling off when getting killed by headshot.

Another one: parenting a semi-transparent brush to a phys object crashes the game now. I won't link to one of my videos because I;m not here to promote myself, but if you're familiar with the "Spaceball" map, you'd remember that the ball in question has a semitransparent intangible ball brush parented to it, so players can see it through walls. Well, now that brush which functioned perfectly fine pre-Steam now crashes the Steam version of the game.
