#pve game mode

Why not just play MVM inside TF2C?
The devs said they're not adding PVE in TF2C.
It already is.
I just wanted to redraw the MVM bots and this was the best excuse I had.
I hope my redesigns of the bots with a more realistic aesthetic inspired by the industrial revolution will get people to approve of my idea :c
Devs aren't adding any MvM-type stuff so you'd have to be the change you wish to see in the world if you want it to go anywhere
you can't effort your way into making people want reskinned mvm!!!
The problem with this is that MvM is pretty perfect as is despite everything
Making a “TF2C version” would just end up as a reskin or completely different game
Art is always deeply appreciated and loved in the community
I was thinking of something like the "survival" game mode in L4D
Would love to see your idea personally
I think the problem is always going to be that TF2C is probably not the vehicle for actually implementing it
I mean, we still have a cut "Raid" gamemode to play around.
I don't know if anything will change, but I'm thinking of making robotic versions of the Mercs that are something like this civilian robot I made recently.
It shouldn't have designs that were impossible for the time, and it shouldn't be as stylized as the originals.
This is amazing
Perfect how? It has broken upgrades that either don't work correctly, or just straight up don't work, broken weapons that break the meta like the gas passer, unbalanced weapons and classes, like having classes that can win a tour by themselves like the sniper and classes that might get you kicked from choosing to play it, hate towards new players mostly caused from the inability to check other player's upgrades, weapons that can cause stalemates or entirely shutting down the game, like the flamethrower with airblast, bugs, and it can get pretty unfun to play since people are there more for the gamble of getting an australium, than for the game
I don't care if it gets added into TF2C or not, but if it were to be added, there's lots of small things the devs could change to make the mode miles better than what it's in tf2, tho reskinning it wouldn't be a good idea, still, I think adding it wouldn't be a bad idea per say
Perfect as in conceptually perfect, these are balance issues
ah yes, the concept is good, tho some of these are not balance issues, like being able to check other player's upgrades
it would be more of a design problem
Checking people’s upgrades was a knee jerk reaction to how bad the tacobot problem had become
Valve really didn’t like that people were just kicking clueless newbies second wave for poor upgrade selection
true, but removing that option just makes it a standard, since if you can't see what other players are using, you can't discuss a strategy or if they should change something, being able to check other player's upgrades had some problems, but it also brought good stuff, and not having that just brings an overall bigger issue, it makes it so even the most helpful and noob-friendly players wants to votekick clueless players
MvM is far from perfect, but it would take an entirely new mod to sort that mess out
its so cute omg. maybe it doesnt need to be used for a new mode. there are player bots so why coulnt these have robotic appearance
To be honest, I just want to get noticed so the TF2C group will take notice of me and hire me.
hope you do :3
Honestly, this gives me an idea for a potential VIP map where instead of escorting a human Civilian, BLU must escort a robotic replica filled to the brim with explosives and take it to RED's base to blow it up. If the robot Civilian were to ever die, it would explode prematurely, killing all players within the blast radius, including teammates because I think it would be funny.
Could also be neat if it was the payload on a map! Imagining the robotic civilian yelling at people to push him lol
LMAO
"Push me now or you can kiss your wage goodbye!"
Or maybe just the regular civilian
Like his car broke down so Blu team's gotta push it lmao
