sentry ideas (sentry stats made by me) minelayer sentry auto lays mines around it in a small range does medium dmg (30-40 from 1) at a medium rate (10 a minute) level 2 does nothing but give more drop rate (Now 20 a minute) and then level 3... 2 barrels higher firerate now 60 a min so 1 a sec and the mines are upgraded doing 40-50 per mine
grenade sentry low attack rate mid damage (30-40) level 2 is another grenade launcher shoots 2 at a slightly higher rate level 3 adds a rocket same dmg as the rpg but falls after about 5 heavies shoulder to shoulder all sentry types can be airblasted btw

Firstly projectile sentry is bad
Secondly turning your sentry in a big sticky trap is bad
say what would a pyro be able to do when theres a grenade sentry behind a corner behind them as they pass? and some modes the mine sentry is pretty good like intel and vip just put it in where you need to go and you cant go
Do you realize how vulnerable they would be? The stock sentry is already so easy to get rid of due to engineers lack of defining weapons
yeah they would be easy but in the future i hope engi would be more than just like 3 weapons

chocy you may have moderately good advice but seriously not all other ideas are bad
