It's weird that the game encourages people to go on very overplayed maps like 2fort and Dustbowl. The only TF2C-unique map that players are encouraged to explore is Avanti, which isn't enough to me. I think noobs should be directed to the new things the game has to offer, like 4team and domination.
I'm not demanding these maps exactly; I think these are just some ideas for what a more tf2c-exclusive World Traveler can look like

  • 4plr_sisyphus 'cause it had a cool teaser, it's a very fun 4team map, and it's new to the release
  • dom_railway to introduce people to the new mode on a universally enjoyed map
  • vipr_2bridge to introduce people to the new mode on what is possibly the most straight-forward vipr map
  • td_sunnyside so chicken may be found
  • vip_avanti has no reason to be removed from the achievement

i’d swap sisyphus out for flask in that instance

vipr is a side-mode of base vip so swap it out for one of those

whatever it is, if anything, i just want it to encourage new players to try out new stuff instead of some of the oldest and worst maps

The idea behind the achievement is that they're maps that were in Team Fortress Classic, the first-ish one.
But I agree, there should be an achievement for TF2C maps. Legacy had a few for VIP, VIPR, and DOM gamemodes.

Perhaps an achievement for each major update, Death & Taxes maps, Fight or Flight maps, etc.

The point of the achievement is that all the maps are classic maps from tfc, like avanti and 2fort
