Game tracks your killstreak and it resets when you die, that's all. I just want the killstreak feature to be available for all weapons at all times (without weapon sheen, killstreak eye effects, etc. Just killstreaks :) )

I'd agree with this if it was disabled by default. I understand why live didn't have killstreaks for the longest time, and why Classified doesn't in general, but now that it's built off of live, it could make use of that system, optionally.

Id love it but maybe no chat anouncements, just a number next to your kill in the killfeed

and maybe it doesnt start publicly showing up until x kills (~3-5 maybe?) so in most cases nothing has changed

Yeah if killstreaks are added that needs to be at least a toggle, but ideally just not exist

Yeah, it's best just being in the kill feed.

I wonder if Valve would allow this? Killstreaks are a paid feature in TF2 after all, would they allow it being free in a mod?

I feel like if they arent a 1:1 it should be fine, if it doesnt announce to feed and doesnt have fancy shit attached to it then its different enough

Probably my favorite feature of HLstats. I'm a little bummed out that most servers don't run it anymore :C

if its just soldier [ks] killed pyro and nothing more then its just a generic killstreak system, I mean they havent copyrighted the idea of a ks

I think a dev said something about wanting wanting players to focus more on completing objectives and/or working as a team than trying to rack up frags. Or maybe that’s just what I inferred from TF2’s design in general.

odd idea, add killstreaks but they only show end of round in their usual spot

even if theyre client-side only i still dont like to further encourage people to mindlessly farm kills instead of contributing to the team

its not like an arena shooter where getting more kills is the point of the game

killstreaks in tf2 encourage unhealthy playstyles and habits for the game

awesome idea, my favorite thing abt killstreaks in general is the killfeed number and the sound effect i get when i get 5 or 10 kills

I'd say killstreak announcement during your life makes you sweat too much over maintaining it.
The V4 servers showing it after your death seems a very good one.

sometimes how many kills you're getting doesnt matter if you're helping the team to succeed in other ways like being a helpful support or something
