Ok so instead of automatic detonation, you have to detonate the mines manually. You also now have 8 mines your clip. Also i think the mines should be redesigned to look like little balls with spikes on it. I know that's all super out of the box but just some ideas i had.

You could make it launch foam balls that do 1 damage and noobs (see: bad players with no skill) will still cry it's unfair

Without the detonation delay you get rid of a lot of counterplay options. How am I supposed to get rid of mines around a corner if I can't trigger them 1 at a time?
The Demo can just explode anyone immediately? With 8 mines out that's 960 damage, nuts
He could cover 2 doorways with instant death 480 damage. Does not sound fun to play against
