something something engine does not like fast projectiles
cant sv_maxvelocity right or smth like that fix that?
What about something that's about the speed of the Huntsman arrows? I think that's a reasonable comparison
playing with bots on cp_dustbowl, it doesnt feel that bad
projectile speed 4 for rockets feels good too i think
If it’s less annoying to fight, then I count it as a win.

The exact words from the gameplay lead at the time were “and for those that want it to be a projectile, here's me testing it with a projectile at max possible speed, same range, same stats. Sucked ass, significantly harder to use. and projectile is so fast you can't airblast it”

Theres a vid somewhere of an early version of the AAC where a dev blast jumps with it hang on
how woudl you be able to blast jump with the aac unless it has an instant wind-up speed, or am i missing something

Tbh since this vid is against bots, I wonder if it ever made it into playtesting like this
i've wondered what the AAC would look like as a projectile but i always imagined it would keep its like, proximity detonation
although i guess that can only be a thing if it's hitscan so it knows where its supposed to explode
I'd imagine that and the delayed fire are a product of the initial projectile concept
the only real problem with the aac is that it uses the bounding box, making it a fast projectile is stupid
