This is my second attempt to create a custom TF2C weapon! Give me your honest opinion since I'm still new to weapon making! X3

i think without the extra health it would encourage engineers to be more careful with building placement

losing 2 buildings would be exteremely painful however moving two successfully would be rewarding

did you know that the decreased swing speed is an indirect nerf to the repair speed

the main question i would be asking when thinking of a weapon idea is why, what for, and how it will be used.

I was thinking it could be good for both attack and defense honestly o3o

If you're on offense, you could push up both a sentry and a dispenser to help your team. But at the same time you'd have to be careful when doing so as a Spy could easily backstab you or a Sniper could headshot you for moving too slow. Making you think about whether it's a good idea to carry one building and play it safe. Or carry both and go for a high risk high reward

For defense, it can save you time during set up time by upgrading the buildings at your spawn then taking both to the front lines. Likewise, if you have cover from your team and you lose the defending point, you can grab two buildings and retreat without needing to sacrifice one

Plus someone said you could use the Buff Engineer model for this weapon and I thought that would be funny-

Yep, if you put em in the right spot it could benefit you and your team. If not, a few good rockets or pills by the enemy and all that walking and work goes down the drain +3+

defo a cool idea to carry 2 buildings, but i the extra max health is a little bananas. being able to tank 2 headshots from sniper is a big deal as engi

Why decrease the carrying speed? This had the potential to replace the eureka effects ability to quickly set up in places without metal.

The carrying speed isn't really the problem i'd say. as i said outside of offense engie moving up his shit i don't see any point

The hell it isn't. 50 extra max health is sooo stupid its not even worth mentioning. But carrying two buildings is such a cool unique idea that could actually work.

Hmmm, actually I was thinking of another way of doing it but I wanted to see what y'all think o3o

Instead of making it a melee weapon, instead it would be a secondary. This way you can choose which sentry you could pair with it!

So you could have the ability of moving up a normal/artillery sentry and a dispenser. Or, you can move up a teleporter exit and dispenser while having a mini sentry as cover!

What do you guys think? To OP or could it work? o3o

isn't melee swing speed around 0.6 seconds? so 0.5 sec swing speed would be a buff?

The Duel Welder

Now Engie won't be so tanky against Snipers but still vulnerable to headshots

You can still use a melee which means you can use either Mini, Normal or Artillery

And it can be better at helping both offense and defense!

This would be kinda like the Mantreads or the Gunboats for an Engie. Not a weapon but a tool ^3^

No cause you can't attack with this weapon. It's primarily an assist tool like the Mantreads or the Wrangler X3

Alright lemme see if I can-

Primary - Shotgun
Secondary - Duel Welder
Melee - Wrench

This loadout means you can build a normal sentry and carry it along with one other building

But you can also change it up to make

Primary - Shotgun
Secondary - Duel Welder
Melee - Artillery Wrench

Now you can build an Artillery Sentry and carry it along with one other building

And so on and so forth-

So you're saying before the text change you knew you could carry a normal sentry and another building, but switch wrenches to instead use other sentries. That you weren't just locked into one? o3o

"Allows user to use different sentries" sounds like it is a sentry replacement
