#Battle Medic primary idea?

The concept of a burst damage primary for Medic is cool, but it should fire a burst of syringes instead of bullets.
Oh this is supposed to be a battle medic primary and stuff
so
I decided to make it hitscan
It's not a great idea to give Medic a hitscan weapon (or any long-range weapon) as he's balanced by his relatively weak firepower at anything past close range
Why is it so wrong to let medic have a hitscan weapon?
I mean
I could add a downside that nerfs the medigun
or make a medigun to pair with this
Because hitscan is easy and reliable to hit people with
I wouldnt say reliable and easy
Sometimes a persons aim can be abysmal
sometimes they flick too far
and sometimes random spread just does NOT help
and this is still a close range weapon
this shotgun would be a more reliable, easier to use primary that would outclass the syringe gun if you don't add downsides that make medic worse at healing

valve was kinda high making the stock syringe gun tbh

no? its designed to be bad in a newbie's hands, yes, but it's decent at close range in the hands of an experienced player
shotguns decent at close range
flamethrower is good at closerange

but its a joke playstyle that shouldn't have weapons designed specifically for it

like a super-nerfed crossbow

if it was 1 shot, it would be able to passively reload
I've always hated passive reloading idk why
which is why I dont use the tranq
rpg and cyclops don't have it for good reason

just a shotgun that shoots syringe projectiles
that barley adds anything

I can say for sure that something like this will probably never be added.
I'm pretty sure I've seen 2 devs say they don't want to give medic a weapon that encourages being offensive. I know damn well they'll never give him a primary that nerfs the medigin

But beyond that, I think giving medic something to make him behave less like a medic is a bad idea. There's not really great reason to have it either

hitscan is objectively the most reliable source of damage
cuz it's all on you hitting or not, not the enemy dodging it

Like, he’s the no combat healing class, ofc his primary sucks at anything except retreating from enemies getting in your face
Quite counter-intuitively, people play battle medic because it doesn't work.They want to be first person to achieve the impossible.
By making a battle medic weapon, it defeats the point of battle medic.
