#Give the huntsman a +25 max hp boost

so while whether the fact that the hunting revolver needs the +25 max hp bonus or not has been discussed, I feel like the huntsman could use the hp boost since I feel like it's a weapon that by the nature of it being a projectile weapon makes you have to move up further to the frontline to be able to use it effectively and take more risk and also there's the fact that there's only one arrow in the chamber. I'm also curious to hear what people think about the huntsman and if they think it needs any changes or buffs to be able to match the sniper rifle's strength or if it's fine as is.

They need to change the name to bow and arrow. Having two weapons both start with "hunt" is confusing. Having watched meet the sniper, the sniper strikes me as a guy who calls his guns what they are.

no, Huntsman sounds cool

IMO only real issue with the huntsman is the hitbox jank which the devs are fixing.

Huntsman is balanced around sniper being very fragile but very deadly. He's patching up his weakness of being bad at close range somewhat and can instakill almost every class if he's good (or lucky). The one counter is that he has to be risky on the front lines with 125hp

Hunting revolver lacks a oneshot of any kind and is arguably worse up close than the huntsman and even then the +25hp is disliked by some.

sniper doesn't need 25 shots when he's most times in another country from you

Historically speaking, the best way to use bow and arrows in a war is to just spam in the general direction of enemy army

I'm not sure, the hitbox could still be really big but won't accidentally hit the wrong person.

#

If they make the hitbox small (ie the size of head) then it will need a buff

not rlly tbh even with the nerf it would still be good as a mid range alternative if you know how to aim it normally

There are plenty of occasions where headshots get corrected to shoulder shots

snow blade

the only reasson people call it a benefit in live is because of that

It’s cuz they’re bad at clicking on heads

and because when they see heavies every once in a while they just leave it for everyone else to deal w him

I would agree that the huntsman needs a buff, but only after it gets the planned nerf that the devs are making for it (they are getting rid of the giant hitbox and making headshots requiring more precise aim)

fixing the hitboxes would be as much of a buff as it would be a nerf just because it would be more consistent

I agree with you then

My issue is the double nerf in medieval mode. It's base ammo is half of stock. All ranged weapons in medieval get half ammo. So the bow and arrow only has 6 shots. 6 SHOTS!

it's still the best weapon in that game mode

What was the balance reason to give +25hp to the other one

So it is like ambassador but better. I read that the Ambassador in one update had no cooldown for headshots too lol.

From a player perspective I think it's weird that one has it and the other doesn't.

Better idea, remove the health bonus from the hr

Yes

BETTER idea, raise Sniper's base health to 150 and hr to 175 megabastard
