Hello,

Im looking for someone to run a couple of sets with me/or watch a couple of VODS with me.

Since im completely new to fgc its hard for me to specify what I need to learn. I have looked up combos etc online and found good resources. However, Im struggling to implement it in game. Its likely due to not having any kind of gamesense what so ever right now.

so if someone would be up for some games or VODS I would be very happy.

As a student im motivated and as person im kind and enjoyable to work with. Im also kinda funny.

Btw my goal is to get to masters.

Much love ❤️

I'm about to go to bed but I'm happy to try and help, just send me a message whenever I'm online. Let me know your cfn and I'll look at a few replays tomorrow, or post specific replay codes if there are ones you'd specifically like to go over.

Hey that's awesome, Sestze definitely gave you better advice than I would've been able to, be consistent with the drills and you'll level up in no time

Ok so I took a look and also saw you got some advice from Tursmo in sf_coaching, I think they pretty much nailed the big takeaways but there's some specifics we can go over in a replay review whenever you have time

Something I've noticed is you use her divekick quite a lot when your opponent doesn't know how to anti-air, your divekick at best is -1 on block without any level 1 stocks so you always give up your turn if they block it.
Your divekick isn't like Cammy's in which she can divekick and if she spaces it right she gets to keep her turn on block. With Mai you almost exclusively want to use her divekick to mess with your opponents anti-air timings.
However the replays I saw you were using it on opponents that never anti-aired you at all, there was no anti-air timings to mindgame them with because they simply never had anti-airs in the first place, they just blocked it and because you weren't spacing it correctly, you were very disadvantaged and they would get a free punish counter combo on you.
I'd recommend just simply not ever doing a divekick before your opponent has shown that they'll consistently anti-air your regular jumps first, and even then try to only use it if you're sure you've spaced it correctly so that you don't eat a big punish if they end up just blocking it.
