  • poking
  • whiff punishing
  • anti-airs
  • fireballs

Things you're looking to do when you're in neutral

With Sf6 tho its expanded a bit with the the new drive system

i think ive got a pretty good grasp of stuff like that, i just dont have the reaction time to punish a single whiffed normal

Well whiff punishing comes in a couple of forms

The easiest to do is learning any spacing traps your character can do

#

But there's also drills you can do to help with reaction

It tricks into thinking that they can hit you after you're done pushing buttons but they're actually out of range

Bur that's just one way thay makes whiff punishing easy

In a sense yes but it would depend what your opponent uses

A lot of characters have their own spacing traps that covers a lot of "scenarios"

#

For example when I play sagat I can do 3 crouching lights that spaces me out to punish with crouching heavy punch

#

But with spacing traps you don't wanna immediately push a button otherwise you might get caught out trying to punish

#

through combos is a bit of a stretch, literally just normal cancel into special and i fuck it up

Well when it comes to match up knowledge doing some research on videos work but also just going into training and practicing scenarios where you get your butt kicked
