And I am surprised you find guile the easiest, considering ppl find charging really weird at first
Here's 1 replay
Will look in a sec
He just has less inputs with his moves even though they do need to be charged haha
I noticed 3 things in the first 30s
- You mashed during jinrai and other stuff, prolly meaning you didnt know if it was your turn or not
- You are turtling as well, Ken can just walk up throw you without you doing much
- No Counter DIs, DI'ing the enemy's DI is crucial in lower elo as ppl use that to start their offense often
there is a few things I wanna recommend you
one of which is this guide made by Sestze (a fellow coach)
Learn Pokes, few BNBs (bread and butter combos that you can use all the time) and One anti air (a move that deals with people jumping)
I can tell you rn your anti air choice can be flashkick if you have charged
or cr.HP if you don't
that's the first step to learn any character
all of that can be found in the link
Here's another match that's more even haha
Cool thanks! I guess I need to respond to that guys pretty aggressive fighting style. Here's another couple replays where I felt more comfortable since I wasn't getting rushed haha
Yw anytime
looking at the first match with cammy
the same habits apply
but at least you anti air sometimes
which I like to see
and you started to check her hooligan towards the end
You used also few more sonic booms
which btw you should learn to know when you dont need to charge and can chuck one
you need 40F of a back input to use sonic boom
if you kinda learn the timing of it you dont need to hold downback for centuries and start turtling
and you are doing great imho for basically being in silver in a week and all
keep ur head up @slate isle
Why is turtling bad?
I can see that people will just approach me and throw me if I don't poke their advance, but I feel like there's more to it haha
If you just turtle then that means you don't have any offense/pressure on the enemy, which means you lack a huge part of the foundation of the game
and the opponent won't respect you at all
imagine a zangief just walking up and he uses SPD
or Manon who gets free medals
a jamie who just dashes back and gets all of his 5 drinks
you can't intercept him if you turtle or keep walking back aka staying full screen ya know
Ik Guile is a more defensive character, but he also has oki and combos that he needs to do
I also recommend watching Knuckldu's games on YT or in the game itself
