sounds like you need time in the lab outside of doing doll combos and sa2 shit
labbing defensive stuff and paying attention to what your opponent is doing rather than what blanka trademark option to push next
i see a lot of blankas in the blanka discord stuck around 1700 with a similar problem cause they've mostly been winning from his hard to deal with setplay and ignoring the actual player interaction lol
maybe take some time to play more tame and reactive / defensive and try develop that
instead of being aggressive or autopiloting

I find replays being super helpful to identify true blockstrings and fakes and challenging opportunities

I've got 2 examples that illustrate my 2 big issues quite well
heres one, specifically the ending, the jabs that dee jay does in the corner, that whole sequence
like he jabs than backs off but since its a jab he's safe so I don't think I should press but than he jabs aagain twice, making a frame trap, than I decide to press after the 2 are over only for him to jab again, if I try to do an EX reversal he recovers fast enough or stops jabbing before it and

number 2 is this wild ass cammy, I know I need to learn to anti air (that training hasn't paid off yet 😔 ) but again she just goes nuts and I can't defend myself

the thing at the end was weird, what were you tryna do, why did you get hit? the rest of the round was fine, mostly you got perfect parried so it was more that he outplayed your as far as I saw it
for this you could try just delay jabbing
if you re in range of your lights
like if he s close delay stlk if he s in spacing trap range a lot of the time blanka still connects delay crlp to catch 3 light auto spacing traps
anyways, victim to classic sf6 DR jab pressure, basically RPS sadly. you should look into trying out blanka's trademark cr.mk xx OD Blanka ball to check shimmy

yeah definitely, it s the main way to check shimmy as blanka, since jump back od air ball only gets you plus in their face
the same way you would delay tech when blocking pressure to avoid a tick throw, you delay jab instead when blocking light chains
so you stuff fake tick throws or pressure resets
it s the same timing
sthk is good against higher divekicks too cause it combos on trade
against instant divekick i think jump back air ball is probably a better bet since you don t have something quite that fast that s not OD DP
anyways, round 2 i see she jumps in, and you mess up the delay tech or she delays button a bit so you get ch, then you mess up air ball? or im not sure what you did there cause you just got f+kk, then you forget your crlp is 6f so it s not the best to challenge OD spin knuckle which is -2 but maybe better from that setup, so at best you trade with her 4f, so you get stuffed there, then some interactions go your way and nice, you take a risk that pays off with DI and set up a doll, and you kinda fumble there with what to do imo. for that situation where she was parrying , you should have gone either for walk up throw, or if you were afraid of her pressing just button xx OD electricity, L command grab, and take the good oki there.
round 3 you tried to jump back air ball a bit too soon after she did crhp and it got stuffed a bit cause obv she s plus there, but i get it s a gut reaction. anyways this led to her getting some block pressure into a throw, and again im not sure what you were trying that you got hit with the DR crlk after really, and that eventually leads to you taking a bunch of pressure and sa3. then got a semi lucky sa3 and i think after that the doll you did there was super riisky vs cammy since i think she can reaction H or OD drill to punish it, but anyways you got to recover but it meant you had to give him a way in to do his burnout loop when you have no sa1 to bail you out, and you probably didn t lab her loop to know how to get out when you re burned out (you gotta jump at a specific point there)

Study her (and everyone else’s while I’m at it) burnout loops
for that MU i think it was mostly that you were impatient on defense imo. you are not really willing to take throws and it s leading to you taking more damage in the long run
versus cammy or ken i sometimes take even 3 throws in a row to get out of the corner tbh, since delay teching is too risky, but you should def look into delay air ball tech
so you beat strike and shimmy
