I feel like I still play like a Gold and I struggle against pressure. I eat DIs even from mid screen and I never seem to use DI myself. I feel like I play better when I'm on the offensive, like I can play around whether try for a shimmy or a cross-up and such. However, I feel like I freeze up when on the defensive, especially when being pressured. I'd appreciate it if y'all could give me some tips and coaching. Thanks!

I played against a Plat 2 Chun last night and I got smoked, never won a game. There were close calls but in general, I feel like she's far better. Anyway, let me share one game and I'd appreciate if you can help me out on my mistakes and things I can improve on.
By the end of round 2, I dropped a combo into Level 2 super but I felt like I inputted in correctly. It didn;'t come out and that was frustrating, it came out as qcb+mk instead. Am I tripping?
Here are some replays from the set

Your defense seems fine from that match. Main thing there is you need to start backrolling
For offense, you're always going for the damage combo route, never oki or medals which are generally better options
And then as far as neutral goes, you're utilizing your longer reach pokes. Keep doing those, they're good, but you should learn to lean more on some closer stuff like your mediums, those are what really shine
I NEVER do this,
yeah, and the general rule should be always do it lol
I thought I did it correctly lol
i'll keep this in mind.
The other games, I got totally smoked, I was tilted from that dropped super in Round 2 that game
Are you comfortable converting lvl 3 super from hitgrab?
you mean after OD qcf+k, I need to do the hit grab, right?
yeah I can do it
can you connect the hit grab from grounded qcfkk?
the qcb+mk I'd say is muscle memory for corner carry
if so, sure, that'd be an option
I think at that height its doable
as long as you're getting either oki or a medal, that's the important part
right now you're getting neither
The medals give your pressure more weight behind it.
i just checked, it doesnt
okay yeah, didn't think so
hmm i don't get oki because I always get far after a reset. maybe I should do the light confirm into qcb+lk
yeah for oki you have to route into qcblk or qcfhk
or standing resets from your pull in tc's
Target combos
I see, so backrolling, medals, oki.
Any tips on how to practice getting DI into my game?
I feel like at 3/4 distance, I do the st.HK often and I always eat a random DI
I also find myself struggling especially against Marisas with their DIs and hyper-armor
aside from doing counter DI's
the move is for dealing with specific tools, so you'd have to go about it by learning what's weak to DI
just how other people use DI against your st hk
oh that makes sense
whenever you feel the urge to do stand hk try throwing out mp/mk or just another button thats dr cancelable
I wouldn't say that, those moves are effective at very different ranges
i'm incorporating buffering DRs into my MP
i'll try this
i say this because the times where i saw the DI come out he was a lot closer to chun,
I'd have to watch back to see if that's true
but if so, then yeah, that's more you're using shk wrong
it's your longest range button, it should be used when nothing else reaches
if you have a faster normal that reaches then, then you should be using that
im pulling a lot of it from the 3rd match chun pressed di like 5 times
abeit 1 was a whiff and 2 of them sisig was burnt out so he couldnt DR cancel anyway
chun didnt even do Di once the first round and only started doing it bc it worked in the 2nd round and she got a big reward off it. but you used the OD overhead right bc you at the right distance to use it to get in and yall were posturing
