1. use cMP as an anti air, if not H.Vertical Rolling
2. juggle air hits of Back Step Rolling with df+HP
3. you don't need to attempt meaty critical art. If he had used any resource of his, he would've beaten your critical art
4. Learn some better punish combos than just throw. sHK and sHP are both good combo starters, so look at the character resource guide for some sample combos starting with those buttons and practice them
