it's not exactly hive style but it's 3-4 tone which I can get behind lol
so my tips are 1. find a ref for the hand; hive does a sort of L shape for fists 2. make the eyes 2x2, with the second row being the row below and 3. make the skirt a bit longer
other than that (and the hole between the legs and feet lol) I really like it!

So, how I works is that there are many models of same yo-yo, but in different places and positions. In every frame all of them have no texture, except for one, and I change which has texture in animation. It is complicated in words, but on practice it is kinda easy

i like to reserve my outer layer for the front of the hair and the folds on the clothing, hive style hair isn't just an unshaded blob and the colours need to be hueshifted, as it looks nicer and is more closer to hive style

I personally started hive style with their costumes. I tried to imitate the way they made their shading and applied it on my skins. Their shading colours are usually 3 layers but can go up to 4 in some of them. Also hive style shading is a bit of a plastic style so make the different gradiant tones in a way to make them stand out, not too bright or dark.

The skin tone is a very harsh and it gets a little too dark, id probably shift it not as much down and a little more to the right while moving the color hue up to orange

generally, hive style uses three tones, the light, mid and dark tone, i made an example of basic shading a while back, you can probably figure out which tone is which
