When i was playing a lot with my main duo were Ixplo ( controler ) and Yzssk ( keyboard ) i was always the less good of our trio so i really think its just a question of pratice

If anyone wanna progress in build battle you should watch how other good builder are working ( and dont hesitate to copy )

Dont be scared to start small or medium build size and then increase the size a little bit over time

Or even start with maybe just 1 block per color and then add more and more block for more texture

And most importantly always have fun

you actually already have the ideal gradient for that. sandstone going straight into birch is really all we have in the game. i would try switching where you have the stripped birch with the birch planks. that could be a better transition
