If you MASTER a Speed game (All perfects, 1st place), given that you have ultimate - That's 250+ XP in about 8, maybe 9 minutes.

Regular seems harder to gain XP more quickly because of meh spam.

Yes, the outliers who appreciate a very skilled final build will typically offset the spam, but it's still a problem that exists nonetheless.

That's why I'd make the argument that Speed Builders' XP is better because you, with your own skill, aren't hindered by anyone else's presence. You either are efficient and accurate enough to perfect and advance, or you simply fail.
It's more reliable.

In a game of 24 players, even if 22/22 vote love, and you get the win.

In MY case, with Hive Ultimate and a 10% XP boost (85% bonus), a PERFECT love game, and a victory will round up to 250 XP Which, yes, IS more efficient than Speed, but it's just... wishful, because you won't EVER get perfect loves.

If YOU, yourself, do an amazing job of OG Build Battle, that's great, and I wish that for you. Mathematically, though, too much of a variable.

Just woke up, so here's my first impressions for the first 10 minutes of this update
-> Plot Menu

• Useful for alot of non-command players
• Weather is big W for aesthetic builders
  ? Clear Build might be dangerous if your teammate is a troll, but I haven't tried playing Duos yet
  X Time isn't that much useful, by the options given, lighting seems to be like this
  2 Brights (Noon & Sunset), 2 semi-darks (Night & Sunrise)
  Seems to use Minecraft's default time options, so I think its best to set time options as Sunrise (Semi-Dark), Noon (Bright), and Midnight (Dark)
  Sunset changes little lighting and sun rays don't even enter the arena (Trust me, I've tested with visual lighting and mostly sunrise/set light only goes through lower wall windows

? Water & Lava tools only seem to be useful for covering 1 layers, as it really doesn't work well with terra builds
? Bonemeal is useful, but the time to spawn grass takes too long

• Controversial opinion, but I like Bonemeal not working on trees, mostly because I believe most players will just spam trees which had a history of winning over hand-built trees
• The breakable floor has been everyones dream (Wonder how Izzy is doin rn)
  X I don't like the build rates (Stars) that much, I had trouble finding which vote is becuase most of us adapted to color coding than ascending score
  My suggestion is to set each star to a specifc color, (Or maybe even bring back the color blocks) and once voted, it switches to yellow stars based on chosen score/vote

Small update to this (From me, aka the 3rd All-Time lb player in Build Battle rn)
I didn't do much for today, but have experimented with it a bit more
I will only add things I have changed opinions

? Clear Build is dangerous in Duos... I tested if a teammate could just clear build without the other player's permission, and it still clears it out
My suggestion atm is to maybe add a command like /c, which is when someone requests to reset the build, all teammate(s) must use /c to confirm

? The way water & lava spawns isn't useful in most cases besides filling 1 blockl layer for ponds & lakes, and these tools might be used to grief instead
Especially when one teammate is griefing by filling the build with water/lava while the other trying to undo the damage without erasing the build, therfore wasting precious build time

X For the suggestion of adjusting the stars during the voting phase, I just realized that this was to make make votes/scores anonymous
While I do like that, I feel like the vast majority of people don't even bother to look at what the others are voting
Unless there's some obsessive player that does a full on FNAF camera check on every single person's vote within 20 seconds

In the hive server(+ from what i remember is like 16 bucks in CAD, U is just doubled if you dont already own +), then do /synchronize here, and you'll get one or both roles depending on what you bought, then you'll be able to send images/clips
