I usually take multiple shots from multiple angles and leave one corner/front relatively open to help with that.
I also know that not filling in sides makes it harder to get shots from other angles, so that could also be an issue, but thats hard to manage in a 5 minute.

In most cases, if you cant get most of the build from one angle (not including backs of builds,) then it is likely too crowded OR you focused too much on one area of the build, so it only looks good from that angle.
this is just from my experience though, take that to help you as you wish.
