ok so
whenever u finish a game u get a "token" for murderer and a "token" for sheriff, then when u get put into a new game the game puts all the tokens into two metaphorical pots, one for murd and one for sher. It picks a token at random and so ur chances are the amount of "tokens" you have for that role divided by the amount of total "tokens" in the pot
and when u get the role it removes all ur tokens for that role (u still get one token for that role at the end of the game tho)
