this is cope but can we make hiders get a 10-second slowness debuff so that they can't just run away from you? Or a permanent slowness debuff but normal speed before the first seeker is released?

I understand that running away from a seeker might be a valid gameplay mechanic, but the game is called "hide and seek", not "tag". Hiders are supposed to win by hiding, not exposing themselves. Referring to how people bait seekers into wasting time on chasing them and how there's one single block remaining, you find it, but it runs away and there's nothing you can do about it because 10 seekers are AFK and remaining 4 can't chase blocks

Like for real, half the games are hiders overwhelming seekers

There's one guy and every single block is running away, so on 2nd minute the seeker is given a teammate and the two of them still can't chase every block

seeking and running currently are balanced, people will say it's not true but it is, there just isn't as many runner because it gives slower wins. Buffing seeking while doing nothing to running would make this game even more boring

For this to work, create bigger maps, more complex maps, more unique hiding spots… I agree it’s not tag but.. when seekers can easily find hiders there’s not much motivation to play

Still, runners should be made unable to outrun seekers indefinitely. I don't mind if such a patch would come out with a patch that makes hiding spots randomized simultaneously, in fact, I think it would make sense if these two features would get patched in together

You very easily could do it but inconsistency is usually bad - a better idea is to have so many maps that u can’t even hope to always play on maps u know, and maybe make map options smaller to force an increased variety

If they added like 12 new maps that are better for running and hiding than for seeking and then let you only choose between 3 maps while voting that would solve so much of the seeker problem while still letting seekers memorize maps

You can’t just make one playstyle impossible but u def can (and imo should) make it easier for noob hiders to win

solo seeker vs solo runner, solo seeker should be winning 90% of those games due to random other seekers. Solo seeker vs runner party, seeker has like a 60% chance due to random other seekers. Seeker party vs solo runner or runner party the seekers should win 100% of the time

Heavily depends on the skill of the runners, and as I said previously there aren’t any really good runners rn, so it varies with the stats

Also solo seeker vs running party isn’t too accurate, try seeking a 6 runner party on town square, the odds aren’t usually that high 😭

The fact is though he didn’t just move to a different spot, he hid away in a corner until I left then went back to said spot. I never got the chance to go back and check because his friend in the game was camping the top of the buildings (china town) and jumping down whenever I got up.
