pretty sure hns doesn't need anything more unecessary, the game on its own without having a leaderboard was actually a for fun gamemode, actual divided in a runner / seeking meta that everyone back then actually respected each other for among many, now most of those people are gone n now its full of people that gloat or runners that fail to run or just people that don't even make the game any fun

That's the only reason I'm moving on kinda, I'm enjoying making my own minigames and having people that I enjoy playing them with rather than a dead game that lost its meaning

I've been hearing that all the good people in the HNS community are gone for almost 10 years now. Adding more things makes people keep playing. Levels and leaderboards don't make the game any less fun. Hiding is fun, seeking is fun, running is fun trying to win as fast as possible is fun, seeking solo is fun, seeking in a party is fun. Chasing runners was fun, but suiciding when you're the last hider isn't common on bedrock which forces seekers to hard target runners if they want to ensure a win which isn't fun for runners. The Hive has always been full of people who take gamemodes too seriously so that's nothing new either. Getting bored of Hide and Seek is inevitable after thousands of games with no notable changes to the game for years.

Also adding more stats like time alive, splitting wins as hider/seeker, taunt points, block levels, Prestige etc. might encourage tryhards to do something other than seek on Kingston or run on Town Square

I get where you're coming from-on the surface, adding more stats, levels, or even achievements might keep some people interested and give them new goals. But for some of the people who've left or been long part of the community, the issue isn't in the features. It's more about the shift in how people play the game and engage with each other. Back then, the game was less about numbers and more about the general thrill of Hide and Seek as a whole especially with mutual respect between players. Something that new players now don't clearly have an understanding of. Now it just feels like a game to show off or compete for stats, which has steered the direction of the game into a different environment.

Obviously now I'm not against evolving of the game since it's already different. But the spirit in the game is gone, the sense of fun and camaraderie that people used to have, which is what made those 'thousands of games' worthwhile.

Me personally I'm just working in the sense of with friends on the minigames I'm creating as an enjoyment to fill that space that's been lost, but if HNS does succeed in filling that whole it'd maybe bring new meaning to it, I'm more all about the idea of the team adding more maps to the game rather than letting it sit for 2 extra years for people to know how to play the game without and differences

(pulling out sword before possibly being able to see hiders legitimately and avoiding half the map that happen to have 0 hiders in it)

for some reason i don't think hive punishes people who do ESP so just going to send this here to gather your thoughts because it has been an issue in this game for over a year at this point

I will say, that is a very tough one to review

Because it is possible to memorize the ENTIRE map and just see that a block is out of place.

But it is insanely rare to have that experience really

I for one, have some maps (somewhat) memorized, and would often times turn really quickly and start attacking just like that.

Out right jailing someone for an accusation when there could be more context isn’t the correct thing to do.

Not to mention, it’s like the only game they have ever played

Which could also be argued as suspicious

But either way, that being the only game they like playing, and the ONLY game they play. Leaves the possibility open for memorization.

Another thing I should mention is that hive has a thing set in place on hide and seek where, when I hider finds its spot to hide then turns into the solid block, it places an ACTUAL block, and also does a good job of turning the character fully invisible to block out a good chunk of ESP

one clip is obviously not enough evidence. Ill say the way he played this is very counter intuitive to what people who grind seeking usually do.
Not accounting for routes, the way he approaches the corner is only effective if you know someone is there, otherwise youd continue on a path forwards, maybe f5 it, and turn back when you see someone there.
Running through parts of the map when its most likely not seeked (>1min played) also rarely makes sense.

There’s also the possibility of him memorizing where they were in the seekers box (box seekers spawn in before finding the hiders). You can somewhat see people’s names, and if you f5 where they go often times.

Definitely too many possibilities and for sure needs further research and review before make any valid conclusions

I don't think you understood what happened in the video. ESP is a lot harder to detect than other cheats but it's very obvious if you know the basic rules of seeking. This video is a very short clip of the game so there are many other suspicious occurrences within that game that i can show you if you want. In the first part of the video you see k1lxs taking their sword out before possibly being able to know whether a hider was there or not, they never even bothered to look in any direction, simply only focused on this one corner of the room... behind a non-transparent wall. Why is that? because they see that they're the only hider in that section of the room with their ESP. The second part of the clip is when they check only one part of the entire outside area of Hospital that just so happened to have the only hider in the outside area. This is not a normal seeker route by any means and legit seekers don't stare in one direction to get to one hider they can see behind walls, they look around the place and follow a route that makes sense.
