It's bad xp unless you're that bad at movement/parkour (so like mobile) outside of specifically the long maps with a lot of power traps (synthwave, survival, steampunk) and just annoys people trying to grind for either lb or xp
That said deaths that arent max level are chill unless they're first targeting, that just ruins everyone: people in first are usually grinders, targeting first is sacrificing any chance of good xp over targeting swarm, and its all around just ruining everyone's grind

@thin swallow It seems that every time you pass the redstone blocks (I did it with deaths, but they may not even be necessary) some value of time gets added to the length of the speed effect. yeah, 5 is maximum, although if you want I have a strategy that's slower (4 strafes) but it provides more protection from a death going for you

I've noticed a fair few people punching with the slimeball as death instead of trying to use it. Not sure if it's known that people get confused as to how to use the traps (most likely on mobile, possibly consoles)
I've seen a death go for an entire game by just trying to punch the traps to turn them on

i just see one of them ahead and he keeps punching so i was like "oh ok"

at the final trap of viaduct you can leap to the finish after the deaths activate the trap
be sure you're on a green platform close enough to the finish and thats it
also on zoo you can leap from the 2 water corners (death arrows and parkour) to skip them
the most trap i hate is the poison gas
without a leap you're just waiting for like 5 seconds for the gas to disappear

Yes, I'm thinking of every spot to leap at..
First, after the first arrow trap.
Second, after you pass the two fire traps at checkpoint two.
Third, after you pass the "water turn" trap at checkpoint three. Use it as soon as you get to the sea lantern floor.
Fourth, After you jump up the emerald block. Also, keep holding down space so you get that jump boost to land on the first red block.
And if you do all of these right, you probably won't have time to use another leap.

Honestly I cant play DR on Java because my ping is so bad, the slime jump thingies dont even work, like I could just stand on them and nothing happens, so I cant ever finish games and it’s really discouraging
