To be honest unless they're at the very front of the line, it's much more difficult than you think to target an individual player

I've admittedly ruined multiple world record pace runs back on Java Edition as a death main and never got banned for it. I still got in a lot of trouble for it by the community at large, and a lot of the people didn't like me almost solely playing as death either but I didn't really care at the time.

Plus most of the time, if you just run for time and not for points, you're probably gonna just leave the game if you die once. This was the case with a decent amount of the top players back on Java Edition

-play long/difficult maps (exception also tokai)
-allow 1-2 players to run the map fast (this cuts the timer from 5mins to finishtime+1min)
-target bigger groups or people that might finish barely if run freely (dont target good runners, its a waste of time)
-even if 2-4 more people finish its fine

-2nd death in the round targets first
-too many good players in the game
-own skillissue
