this game honestly balance wise is meh, every season brings an op item, and emeralds feel shallow, you get op items and then they become useless

in tw, spending emeralds felt nice because the stuff you could get made sense to get multiple of

diamond sword, snowballs, and pearls all were decently balanced around each other, and snowballs and pearls you can reasonably get multiple of

there was a good mix of items that you can get multiple of for variying benefit

currently in hive bw, everything i can get with emeralds is all one use

there isnt a reason for me to get multiple diamond swords, jetpacks etc, or it feels clunky

thats what i dont like

i want the items individually to feel more balanced, and impactful, and there to be a reason to do different things

the only thing in hive bw that is balanced this way is golden apples and arrows, i guess pearls too (well blocks are always this way ofc)

rn this game, because of how scalar it feels i can teach a 5yo the best strats

not saying its perfect games, lots of my wins were far from clean, but the games i lost felt very very hard to not lose
