it's a period of time when you can take damage. so like if you get hit you turn red for exactly 500ms, so if you click at 12 cps you will pretty much make your opponent always red. this is also why its harder to jump reset on drag clickers because when you drag click you are clicking so fast that the time between you being red is very low, making it kinda impossible to jump reset.
