Platform based matchmaking helps stop pc players from being with mobile players. Obviously it’s not perfect, if there’s not enough players in that gamemode they have to turn it off so the game will actually start. But it’s something, and it definitely helps.
With drag clickers, there is no system to stop them from being put against people with non-drag clicking mice. (Other then them maybe getting anti cheated once in awhile)

Here’s why I think double clicking/drag clicking is fine
1: double clicking and drag clicking is something all mice can inherently do, it’s just most mice have the double clicks cancelled out. Double clicking isn’t putting in one input and getting 2, it’s making the mouse button bounce or vibrate on the switch to create cps. lots of old office mice can drag, cause they don’t have they don’t have the tech that cancels out double clicks.
2: if dragging is an unfair advantage because it is more or less behind a “paywall”, then Wi-Fi should be labeled an unfair advantage because it gives a pvp edge that you have to pay for and also be born in the right area for best ping.
3: hive literally allows it. Hive says you can’t change your debounce time, (setting that filters double clicks) but many mice come with the debounce already lowered and can drag right out of the box.
4: drag clicking has pushed a lot of growth for hive. The sw community probably brings in the most views behind bed wars commentary, and has helped hive grow

It’s still exclusive to specific people, my mouse most definitely doesn’t double/drag click, I’ve tried.
The wifi thing is a completely different story. You can’t play at all without wifi, but you should definitely be able to play without being able to drag. I played with high ping for well over a year and it worked fine.
It does specifically say that double clicking is disallowed, they just don’t really pay attention to it/enforce it.
I’m sure it has brought some players to hive, but it has also made skywars completely unplayable for casual/normal people, which is the main reason it annoys me so much.
(This parts kinda my bad) I probably should have said this, but you definitely don’t have to call it an unfair advantage, but I do, because that’s my opinion. It’s just annoying that this stuff has made what were originally fun games, completely unplayable for me and alot of other people. And there’s not really anything we can do about it.
