Didn't think I'd actually get a reply from a Hive staff member. Well for one, this isn't necessary related to the deepslate part of it, but I think having a few more items available to buy right from the start of the game would open that part of the game up a little bit. Concrete could make its way back as a weaker alternative to deepslate that you can get, and you could also have stone tools make their way back

It includes adding in a leather helmet for 8 Iron, so the diamond armor set isn't as overbearing late in the game.

This is also a rather risky change, but to make it truly feel different, how about making the starting sword upgrade cost 5 gold since by the time you can get it, you'll probably already be able to buy better swords to store in your chest

Suggestion for a new Update: What if you add a way to enchant items in Bedwars with a table, like the team upgrades and the potion table? It could cost a few emeralds. If you spend the emeralds on the enchanting, it would enchant the item that you choose with a random enchant. The enchants on the swords could be Sharpness 1, Knockback 1 (replaces the knockback dory, but it takes less knockback than the dory to even out the one-shot on the dory), and maybe some custom enchants. Armor could be Thorns and Protection 1 and some custom enchants. Bows could have Fire Aspect and Power 1 and custom enchants. You could also add enchants to pickaxes. Or, if you want Bedwars to stay non-RNG, you could add the enchants like you did for the potion table, where you choose the enchant, but you add a way to choose what armor/tools you would put the enchantment on.
