This is like saying csgos open matching making should be super closed off by skills, when I played cs and val cosistantly I ran into players who would slam me over and over again which just motivated me to play more and get better

Yeah, people learn new tech, new tricks, new metas etc. bedwars is a pvp game. Take fortnite as an example, players who were considered godly back in 2020 are considered below average if they just came back and they will still queue you into those good players
