I would say solos bc everything you do gives you EXP, like breaking the beds or killing ppl

In squads it’s harder bc I don’t think you get kill assist credit and you probably won’t be able to break a squad’s bed on your own or a teammate could steal the EXP

solos bc you can get exp by both killing and destroying beds and if you want to do it a little faster you can go buy an xp booster that is found in the hub quest
