see, instead of altering the texture file you alter this one instead. Within this you will find many sub folders, such as "blocks" "mobs" and then in those folders you will find MORE folders, of each block and mob. within THOSE folders are the OGG files that you can change..

there are lots of tutorials out there, instead of making a new pack I recommend you just create a sounds folder in your current texture pack

and if you don't have a texture pack idk I can't help you there again I made my pack so yeah not really good with templates 😭

"activate.ogg" and it's located in the beacon sound folder.
However it's not as simple as renaming MP3 to OGG, you have to actually convert it
