Times in Gravity are very dependent on minecraft ticks which are exactly 50ms long. You'll notice that the times are always very close to a full tenth of a second for example 5.200 or 50ms offset like 5.250. Thats what I mean by ticks. Times like 5.225 are of course still possible but extremly rare

What I mean by 3 ticks off of perfection is: we basically know what the best possible ticks are on the 5 wr maps. Technically its possible that someone gets an even faster one but nothing has changed in the past year so its unlikely.

The wr being 3 ticks off of perfection just means that on 3 of the maps I lost 1 tick to the best possible one and on two of them I was dead on

The .339 and .325 actually had the same ticks just that the .325 had better ms after it. So basically i got 5.150 on Stairs instead of 5.167

also for the wr on each specific map (after the first one in a full game) are the wr maps not all done individually? and by that i mean the first map in a cs/real game or whatever. are they not slightly faster than what you can possibly get in a real game due to not needing to run to the hole and jump through rather than just jumping before the barrier opens?

so it leans slightly over for whatever reason

yes they are but you can account for that pretty easily. Calculating the best possible time is unfortunately not just adding up the map wrs as you pointed out.

You may have noticed that on some maps you sometimes hit the edge of the hole at the top of the map because you didnt jump far enough (happens on Stairs and Clockwork on WR maps). For these maps you add .75 to the wr time and for all the maps where you jump straight in (like Data and Geo in the wr maps) you can add .7 to the wr time. These values are gathered from experience

Of course there are exceptions for example on Stained Glass you spawn way further away so you cant jump in directly at all which makes the calculation different entirely. Or maps like Dimensions or New Orleans where the glass wall is vertical. That's also completely different. But that doesn't apply to the WR maps

But yeah anyway. The perfect splits are:
Abstract: 4.850 (wr is 4.838 by me)
Data: 5.050 (wr is 4.355 by Weary, add .7 and you get 5.050)
Stairs: 5.150 (wr is 4.396 by BigG, add .75 and you get 5.150)
Clockwork: 5.500 (wr is 4.737 by BigG, add .75 and you get 5.500)
Geometric: 5.600 (wr is 4.897 by me, add .7 and you get 5.600)
which totals to 26.150

and then of course there is the uncertainty because you never get those ticks exactly

in my run, I had:
Abstract: 4.9x
Data: 5.05x
Stairs: 5.15x
Clockwork 5.55x
Geometric 5.65x
which totals to 26.300 and with uncertainty you get times like .325 and .339. That means I had the perfect tick on Data and Stairs but not on Abstract, Clockwork and Geo where I was one tick away respectively

and for reference this is what happens normally

Unfortunately I don't have any clips of the lag backs when you jump into maps, as I haven't played hardly any games since this all started. The clip comes from the 8th at 4:30-ish CST, and I believe this was the first recorded instance, if any of that helps pin down the culprit.

A lot of what the gravity community calls "double jumps" have been screwed up as well, if not all of them

And, eu and asia players correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that this is only happening on na

Idk if new maps r gonna solve that much i think the main problems of the game rn is lacking players theres many times of the day where the lobbies take minutes to fill up and theres nothing motivating people to play more maps will not help for players who arent motivated to learn the existing maps. I think more levels could help this to some degree since itd give players a reason to play and if they play enough til max lvl to understand the maps they might stick around more but even then it might not be enough another nice thing would be to reduce needed players to start a game since it doesnt influence anything much about the game how many players r in the game but demotivated even more people from playing when there arent enough ppl online to start rounds quick. Ultimately the game would need some additional features tho like helper items to make it easier on casual players tho that might take away from the simple nature of these game modes

I think the main reason hive doesnt just add more is cuz they dont wanna bother adding cosmetics for every level in such a small gamemode but its kind of a shame to limit urself to that and other small games have also gotten them in the past and became bigger that way

1. It's definitely slower than it was, in my experience it's usually like +.700. the slowness comes from the fact that your horizontal movement is completely reset before you jump in.
2. using it is still safe and is still faster, albeit by a smaller margin. i've never been kicked doing cb dj post-bug

the only thing to be careful of kick-wise is instant jump-ins
