That is a double jump. It's only possible on some maps, and the setup of either walking in or jumping in depends. It is a glitch within the game itself in which on a stair or slab if you hold your jump button you can sometimes "double jump" a few blocks higher. It's only useful if you go right in a portal otherwise you die
