non consistent spawn points are awful

I have gotten used to most spawns at this point but some of them still mess me up

I can guarantee with absolute certainty that the devs were just lazy and used the same method to distribute spawnpoints that they used for the first map

While I don't want to assume it was easier or harder to make it work that way, having implemented a version of Gravity myself some years ago, it was easier with my code base to simply use a single spawn point across all maps.
In contrast to that, distributing players across multiple spawn points requires some additional logic.

That said, I do believe fixed spawn points for the 2nd+ maps would be a good QOL change

What I meant is that they implemented a method for distributing players accross different spawnpoints for the first map based on the order that they join in (at least thats what I assume) and then they reused that method for all the other maps as well but this time based on the order you enter the map in

i agree that it's easier to use one spawnpoint the entire time but since you are required to actually build in some logic to distribute spawnpoints to players they probably just reused that for the other maps

I can go into games with you rn and show you that its possible on a number of maps

it works by landing on the absolute edge of a block or slab

this stops your momentum in the air but doesnt kill you and you can also jump if you hold your jump key

I have never denied the valid of this point. As I said before, it may be successful, but I don't think it is 100%, and the sound is very important. Let's take a look at two videos, the first Circuit Board map. If you encounter the glitch blocks(slab), you can see that I successfully entered the portal(without cheat), but please note that when I reach the block on the edge(glitch slab), there will be a SOUND of HIT to the ground instead of sound of jump(airjump). The second is Triangle. When you fall to the portal, there is a sound of hit to the ground (if you can reach the portal faster, there will even be no sound), not the SOUND of AIRJUMP.! You can already see the clue here!
