There's no real way to max deathrun fast, cuz it's still gonna take you over 2000 games, but I stopped playing as death at around level 23. For groundwars, you should play in parties for guaranteed wins, tho keep in mind you're less likely to get as much kills as you could if you were solo

I think they both have their advantages. Speed is good for getting more powerups, while jump is better for actually getting to a color, as long as you have a leap.
