I can give you tips that are probably a bit better when it comes to power ups
Everyone says to use your jump potions to get power ups, but don't. You have no idea how much times I've clutched games by using a jump potion past round 20
It becomes impossible to get to the platforms but sometimes the jump potion will help because it allows you to jump higher giving you more time and more height to make it if the platform is close by

it’s definitely useful but is still difficult to use in the faster rounds. same with all the other powerups besides color TP
but it being difficult to use in the faster rounds is fine because it allows for skill development

I think the only way to update BlockDrop is to give it dofferent type of Gamemodes. Like a no powerup round or first personal only round.

They should add the old Block party arenas/templates from java
They're twice as big, so it could be a hard-core difficulty in default block party
Or have map selections in block party, and the old arenas could be for just one of the maps

i don’t see them adding bigger floors. they shrunk it to make it more fair for all devices (along with the emphasis on powerups)
if they did make a hardcore, larger floor variant of the game it’s likely PC players would dominate

so from that: survive as many rounds as you can (each gives 2 xp), collects as many powerups as you can (each gives 1 xp), each time a player is eliminated you get 2 xp, and a win is worth 10 xp
