it can be used for grabbing powerups faster too, if you time it correctly you can jump off of a colour while the floor is gone and be ahead of everyone

i usually just use all my powerups to steal every powerup, would be chilling with like 7 colour pickers while the others have like 1 or 2

there are plenty of other non-offense ways to win block party already

block drop actually needs the nemo because games can last forever if they dont (source: experience 😭) because you can regenerate the map basically forever if you have enough restores + the other person does (and doesnt have a nemo on hand to kill you)

block party games are already pretty quick and honestly if you have enough of the other powerups, you can last to round 25 pretty easily (and most people die before then)

therefore

kb isnt necessary imo

i will admit my rejection is partly biased because the thought of having kb in block party sounds like an actual nightmare to me just. on princple

also i dont think it'd gain a lot of use because you already need to focus a ton on surviving alone. especially for me, im not even concerned with other peoples existence past like round 19

For sure! It's possible to do with all 3 others combined but requires very fast reaction time. However I try to only use the other powerups until my teleporters can save me all the way until the end (for instance, if I had six teleporters I wouldn't use any until round 19).

People say Block Party's a luck game, but I disagree. You don't just luck into a 97% win rate. This is largely due to early game, when people get a ton of powerups by using other powerups.

builders also build the maps yk, 2 of the modes already existed, bridge is literally just the one map and ctf only had 3 maps (more came out over time but on release it was just boring)

imo making a completely seperate hub was just a big mistake

As to what happens to arcade hub I have a few ideas

A. Make it an alternative hub with all games in it

as someone who used to play the java version 24/7 before it shut down, the emphasis on powerups in this version is what makes it really different

in the OG game you could ignore all powerups if you really wanted to

it was a lot of fun that way i think, less in the skill way and more in the gambling way LOL

cause last few rounds really were just gambling whether or not you were in the correct spot + if you reacted fasst enough

only useful powerup back then was leap (i think i remember that being a thing on java, dont quote me tho) and like

an enderpearl which, idk if yall could guess, was basically a color teleporter but you had to aim it 😭

as for using powerups for other powerups

that is my opinion on that

no shade if you do it tho, the grind just be like that

but i cant imagine using like, a leap or something to get a powerup and then end up not getting it 😭

OH YEAH also in java you could force ties!!! there was a huge pressure from all of the "good" players to jump for other people 😂

and unless you were so good you could afford to ignore them, you either obliged or people would definitely not be as nice to you

kinda miss the ties sometimes (NOT the pressure around others to do it, just the option cause i really do feel bad for winning alone a lot)

For no powerups, I could agree that after round 20 it's luck. However getting to round 25 9 times out of 10 (which I do) can't be luck. Even if you don't get many teleporters, jump boost and leap can take you to the end.
